HOW TO START UP AN ONLYFANS ACCOUNT
THE RIGHT WAY
STARTING ONLYFANS GUIDE
My post content
LIST OF STEPS YOU NEED TO TAKE FIRST.
Start making content.
No one else will tell you this, but the first thing you need to do if you want to start an OnlyFans account is to begin creating content. SFW and NSFW.
First time you had sex, you probably didn't know what you were doing, and the same applies to making adult content.
Your run-of-the-mill pictures you send on Snapchat aren't going to cut it if you want to make money.
So start practicing.
This is the most important step because it will tell you if you enjoy making adult content.
You sign up for OnlyFans, buy a bunch of outfits, sex toys, and get lights and, then realize you hate making content. You'll be out a lot of money and time.
Try to have as much content made as possible and ready for when you start OnlyFans.
There's no point in opening a store if you don't have anything to sell.
There's no point in starting an OnlyFans if you don't have any content made.
Come up with a stage name.
I don't recommend using your real name. Anything that sounds like a stripper name is good, or a name that is related to a niche. If you have one.
If your niche is dominatrix, you probably don't want to go with a cute, meek-sounding name like Little Miss Sally Muffin Tits.
You'll need to go with a name that better represents your niche if you have one picked out.
Set up an email for your online persona.
Once you have a name picked out create an email specifically for your online identity. This needs to be for your onlyfans account.
Set up social media.
This is important because it's one of the ways OnlyFans verifies who you are. You need lots of pictures of your face. Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), threads, reddit, and facebook are the recommended platforms.
Unless you are familiar with Reddit, it's not recommended because it's a completely different ecosystem and requires more understanding to use efficiently.
You want a minimum of 4 accounts on each platform: 4 TikToks, 4 Instagrams, 4 X accounts, and 4 Facebook accounts. The more you have, the better. We will cover this in another post.
Set up a separate bank account for your OnlyFans/online content sales, and get a credit card for expenses.
I'll break down the importance of this in another post on taxes. Here are some links to online banking and credit cards with good interest rates.
Set up a Linktree/other free options. I recommend making a website, but I'll cover that in a separate post. Here's a link to Linktree and others.
Finally, set up your OnlyFans account. By now, you should have a stage name, social media, a credit card, a bank account, an email, and plenty of content ready to sell.
Here's a link to watch a video that provides a step-by-step process signing up for an OnlyFans account. If you sign up with my affiliate link, you'll be added to the private onlyfans page that has more information.
At this point, you should have spent little to no money. The outfits and toys you already have will be enough to get started, except maybe for a big dildo or something similar.
Try to spend as little money as possible until you start making money.
I hope you found this helpful, and I really hope you use my affiliate links so I can earn some money too.
I know you've probably seen other "how to start an OnlyFans" blogs and videos, and their lists might be different. At least in the order they recommend. Trust me, this system has important fail-safes.
First, it encourages you to create content to see if you enjoy doing it.
If you don't enjoy making content, you can't succeed on OnlyFans. You are your own boss, and you'll have a hard time making yourself do something you don't enjoy.
This allows you to quit before you spend any money or post explicit content on the internet.
The second fail-safe is that it prepares you to have content ready from day one when you launch your OnlyFans account.
This ensures that you hit the ground running. Giving potential subscribers something to engage with immediately.
Having a backlog of content allows you to maintain a consistent posting schedule, which is crucial for retaining subscribers and building a loyal fan base.
It also provides you with the flexibility to take breaks when needed, without interrupting your content flow.
By following this structured approach, you can start your OnlyFans journey with confidence. Knowing you are well-prepared and equipped to handle the challenges of content creation and online marketing. Good luck, and remember to stay true to your personal brand while continuously adapting and learning along the way.
